The Great Summer (Spring) Clean

You made a difference – thank you!

We would like to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers, who came along on Saturday to spring clean the kitchen, ready for our busy autumn and to paint the toilets. Many hands did indeed make light work. Thank you all!

God bless!

Can You Clean or Paint?

Calling anyone who can clean or paint to please help for a couple of hours during the morning of Saturday 9th and/or Saturday 16th August
It is necessary for the kitchen – which is very well used all year – to have a 'spring clean' in order to comply with all the current health and hygiene regulations. The kitchen team are asking for the help of any (reasonably) able-bodied folk to lend a hand on either Saturday 9th or Saturday 16th August from 9.00am to 12 midday.
It was also agreed that we would put a fresh coat of emulsion on the walls of both toilets to freshen them up before all the Meetings / Soup & Sweet / Messy Church etc get going again in September.
If you are able to wield either a paintbrush or a cleaning cloth please comment below, or put your name on either (or both) of the lists in the foyer
We will get as much as we can done on the 9th and finish off anything which is left on the 16th (hopefully!)
All helpers are guaranteed a constant supply of tea and coffee – and bacon butties if you're very good!!
Thank you ….love Chris

Tansley Tuesdays

The Tuesday Club is mainly for persons over the age of 60 and meets every fortnight to socialise and chat. Once a month an outing is arranged, usually with a lunch or tea included. At the regular meetings there are speakers, slide shows, demonstrations, quizzes, musical afternoons, etc.
In addition to all this, members of the Tuesday Club also enjoy a five or six-day holiday to the seaside every year to a first class hotel, usually with evening entertainment.
This Tuesday, they had lunch in our Brunswick Rooms. We provided them with homemade soup, sandwiches, dessert and coffee. Followed by games.
