Sun 9 June 10.30am:Tansley’s Farewell to Lyn and Mike. On Sunday 9th June Lyn and Mike Houghton will join us for our morning service, following which we will host a lunch in their honour and present them with a gift from church members and friends. If you would like to contribute to this gift, a plate will be available for donations each Sunday morning over coffee in the Brunswick Rooms and at the back of the church on Sunday evenings. A list will be up in the porch to sign up for lunch – no official charge will be made for this, but donations to cover the cost of the food can be made on the day.

Thursday 23 May 7.30pm: Last Thursday/Lent Group Fellowship Meal, held in the Brunswick Rooms. Anne & Mike Stanyon have details and booking slips – please complete and return, indicating whether you can provide a salad, etc. The meal will be followed by a quiz evening led by Bob and Marion Ball.
Christian Aid Week 12-19 May: Tansley will be participating in the usual house-to-house envelope collection around the village during this week and also hosting a “Souper Soup” lunch in the Brunswick Rooms on Friday 17th from which donations will be given to Christian Aid. New volunteers are always welcome – if you are able to help in any way please contact Sue Smith on 584804.

Fri 1 March 2pm: Women’s World Day of Prayer will be holding their annual service at the Dales Christian Centre, Chesterfield Road, Matlock. The theme this year is “I was a stranger and you welcomed me” – and the speaker is Brenda Jackson. Everyone is welcome to come along.
Tues 26 February 7.30 – 9.30pm: District ‘Pick and Mix’ programme for Local Preachers/Worship Leaders at Huthwaite Methodist Church to explore new songs and hymns. Led by Peter Relf (Local Preacher and contributor to Singing the Faith).
Sat 9 March: What next, Lord? A programme of ten vocational exploration sessions, organised by the District, is being held during 2013 on the second Saturday of each month to help people think about being Christians in today’s world and to reflect upon how they may be called to serve God. A flyer giving full details, including dates and venues, is on the notice board in the porch.
Sat 2 March 2pm: Revd Christine Rees from the Derby Diocese will introduce the concept of “Messy Church” and give us pointers towards setting up and running similar activities in our village. Messy Church works with children, families and young people. If you feel you could help in any way, however small, please do join us!

Sat 8 December 2 – 4pm: Carol singing at Arkwright's Mill, Cromford in aid of 'Action for Children'. Mulled wine, mince pies and lots of other attractions, including Santa and his reindeer.
