This week’s news

There will be no more church activities at Tansley Methodist Church until further notice.

After consultation the Tansley Methodist Church Council has decided to suspend all worship and related activities with immediate effect in order to respect Covid-19 Restrictions and protect both fellowship and wider community. The Post Office will continue each Friday 10.00 am-1.00 pm WITHOUT refreshments.

Please keep in contact with us using our facebook page www.facebook.com/TansleyMethodist

Prayer shawls – thanks to our faithful ‘knit wits’ we have four spare shawls now so if you know of anyone who would benefit from receiving one please let Chris or Margaret know.

Our Treasurer Pete, asks that as far as is possible we continue our usual financial support for church, bills still have to be paid. If you are able to do this please either just save the envelopes each week or talk to Pete about making a ‘direct debit’ arrangement if this is easier. If anyone wishes to pay directly the church bank details are:   Nat West a/c 80601332      sort code 60-14-15

Mothering Sunday Flowers – Sylv had organised this year and purchased the plants  in good time but due to there being no opportunity to give them away, she and Pete have planted them in the grave yard at Chapel so everyone will be able to enjoy them for years to come.

Prayers of Intercession

Let us hold before God all those who need our prayers. We pray for our desperate and troubled world, through all nations who are suffering in sickness, isolation and the death of loved ones.
We pray especially for our NHS our doctors, nurses and all support workers give them strength and courage to face the hardship and sorrow all about them.
We pray for strong and courageous leadership in this time of uncertainty and pray that men and woman will listen to the advise and direction in keeping us safe as possible in our homes if necessary.

We hold before God all those close to our hearts: Barry and Sue, The Ludlam family, Fred, Michael and Audrey, Meg, Rachel, Colin and Chris, Dinah, Elizabeth, Andrew, Christine, Yvonne, Michael P., Lyn and Mike, Julia and Don, Helen and Brent, Blayze and Becky, Julie and Steve. and our friends from Holy Trinity whose names appear in Tansley Times.

We remember before God Anne Stanyon, who died peacefully on the morning of 27 March 2020.

In the love of God, the peace of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
